Friday Five

Well, we had one – repeat one – visitor Friday night. He was dressed as Freddy Kruger or something; I’m not sure because I don’t watch that kind of movie. He just happens to be the junkwoman’s grandson, and that would have made a better costume.
So I’ll do the five today, even though I wrote about Halloween last Wednesday. Remember, these weekly questions are found at the Friday Five site.
- What was your first Halloween costume?
Was that the nurse costume? What I remember more is that they put a mask on me and let me look in the mirror. It scared me, and I cried. It’s just as well that I remembered that, because Daddy never let me forget it. - What was your best costume and why?
One that I devised myself. More or less, a Hindu woman. I used sheets to look like a sari, wore long earrings, and used an eyebrow pencil to make a dot on my forehead. - Did you ever play a trick on someone who didn't give you a treat?
I would never do that. But no one ever refused to give out treats. - Do you have any Halloween traditions? (ie: Family pumpkin carving, special dinner before trick or treating, etc.)
Not a thing. And I’m less and less into it as years go by. - Share your favorite scary story...real or legend!
As I mentioned above, I don’t go in for scary stuff. You can just read the newspaper.
