I’m not feeling creative today. There are times. So another Friday five from the Friday Five site.
- What housekeeping chore(s) do you hate doing the most?
Picking up after other people. And – still – trying to find a place for things that have no place. - Are there any that you like or don't mind doing?
Give me enough space to do it, and I don’t mind laundry, even ironing. But when you have no more room to put clothes away – and all the baskets are full, because no one puts their own stuff away – and you can’t even find a place to set up the ironing board…I do only as much a I have to. - Do you have a routine throughout the week or just clean as it's needed?
Routines have never been allowed in our house. I have to figure out who’s going to be bothered by the sound of the vacuum or who will want to walk on the wet floor, or who decide to shower when I want to use the washer. I’ve told you before, it’s never been my house. - Do you have any odd cleaning/housekeeping quirks or rules?
The strangest thing I do – and so does U.D., when she thinks of it – is to second-guess Husband. For example, he will try to flush down anything in the bathroom wastebasket until the toilet clogs. I don’t keep a wastebasket in there any more; we carry out our trash as we produce it. - What was the last thing you cleaned?
I washed dishes this morning accumulated since I washed them last night.
