Friday Five for April 25
Sat., April 26, 08:32 AM
Once again, I’ll attempt Friday Five. I do try to remember to link back to the page each week.
- What was the last TV show you watched?
“CSI” is one of the few network shows I watch, and there was an extra episode on last night. Not just interesting science, but thought-provoking. The ultimate victims were entirely accidental, but they paid anyhow. The perpetrator was “just trying to scare” someone; he would probably have a short sentence because he was juvenile. - What was the last thing you complained about and what was the problem?
The constant complaint for the last week is Husband’s disregard of his medications. (U.D. caught him spitting them into the john.) I told him it’s his choice if he wishes to be sick, but ultimately I’m the one who cares for him and he doesn’t want to do anything.
A couple of weeks ago, he ate something before a “fasting” blood test. Evidently he thought that, if he didn’t mention it, no one would notice. The doctor was concerned at the atypical sugar reading, but I calmed him down and tested Husband at home. My sugar should be that good. - Who was the last person you complimented and what did you say?
It’s hard to be sure – there is so little opportunity – but I think it was U.D. She was telling me about her advanced Excel course, and I said “maybe you could teach me.” I’m skilled in Excel, but no one has needed my expertise in such a long time that I would appreciate learning some new tricks. - What was the last thing you threw away?
It’s an ongoing job, y’know, because no one else around here does it. I was going to say Kleenex®, but instead I think I’ll gross you all out. I had a nosebleed this morning, so the last thing I threw out was about two ounces of blood. - What was the last website (besides this one) that you visited?
I did my morning routine: my e-mail, iwon.com, and then Diaryland. And then I logged off to watch Husband take his morning pills.
And you thought your life was boring?
