I’m sorry. That was nasty and mean-spirited, and I shouldn’t have done it. I opened my page with the intention of deleting it, but I was surprised to find support in my mail and guestbook. Thank you, my friends. I’ll try not to erupt again.
I won’t give you excuses, because there really isn’t a good reason. (And, yes, there is a difference between reasons and excuses.) The best I can come up with is an exchange at the post office this morning.
I handed the clerk a dollar for $12 worth of stamps. He just looked at me; I was still holding the twenty I meant to hand him. “Sorry,” I said, “it’s been that kind of day – all week.” “All month,” he corrected. Yeah.
