Roe v. Wade

Wed., January 23, 07:28 AM

Yesterday was the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision. The Connecticut Post reports that Stanley Scott was out leading another demonstration against abortion in Bridgeport yesterday. I’ve expressed my opinion before, but it’s hard not to fall back on all the impolite words I know to express stupidity; he still doesn’t get it.

There were plenty of people – but many of them were children. What exactly are you teaching these kids? Some of them are too young to understand where babies come from, but you have them parroting: “Abortion is wrong because it kills babies.”

An embryo is just a collection of cells. If it has a soul – and I don’t concede that it does – the Almighty that created that soul will protect it against anything a mere mortal can do.

If a woman wants to have four children, that is her choice. “Choice” is the operative word. We are assuming that she is going to raise them, and not leave others to do so, since we are already aware that Stanley Scott is not going to care for them.

We need to be teaching our children to end the need for abortion. We need to teach them about families and responsibility. You don’t teach them that by leading them on senseless marches.
