Me, Rockin'?

I'm sure you've seen this button before. I saw it for the first time on my daughter's page and, since I firmly believe she is one of the better writers around today (sure, mom), it made perfect sense that someone would tag her. Of course, she tagged the mandatory five bloggers, and suddenly I was seeing the button all over. Far be it from me to suggest that we don't have good taste.
Most of the time I consider myself a bystander enjoying a bit of people-watching via computer. I never thought anyone would tag me. Cosmic Crayola, one of my favorites ever since I started reading other people's pages, put my name on her list. So now it's my turn to tag five. You don't know how difficult this has been.
I have some buddies who lock their pages; there's no advantage in directing readers to pages they can't open. I didn't want to list anyone who has already been tagged, right? I'm trying to spread the word. And, to tell you the truth, I can't remember which of my favorites have already displayed the button. I went to look at my old list of Diaryland buddies, and I realize that most of them have moved on, leaving messages of “updated more than three months ago.” I have since bookmarked most of them elsewhere, but that's a really sad state of affairs.
Nevertheless, I don't want to leave this hanging; that would be an insult to everyone who has come before. So here, without explanations, are my five.
May you enjoy them as much as I do. All of my buddies provide me with good reading as well as a feeling that the world is not as bad as I my think it is.
