Premio Dardos

From one of my favorite journalers, Bev Sykes, comes an explanation of the Premio Dardos Award. Here is the description:
Premio Dardos means “prize darts” in Italian and is awarded for recognition of cultural, ethical, literary and personal values in the form of creative and original writing. The rules are as follows:
- Accept the award by pasting the graphic on your blog along with the name of the person who granted the award and a link to his/her blog.
- Pass the award to another 15 blogs that are worthy of acknowledgment, remembering to contact each so they know they have been selected.
Bev adds that they should be blogs/journals/diaries that are updated fairly often and, obviously, they should not be locked. And I will add that I don’t want to repeat anyone that she listed. I had better start compiling my fifteen now.
- Zen and Chocolate
- Cosmic’s Corner
- dichroic
- fmd
- Golf Widow
- HerStory
- Six Weasels
- Kitchen Logic
- Red Nose
- The Purple Chai
- Lena
- Last Girl on Earth
- Pookie Groupie
- Quiet Flames
- Mel
As I went through the lists, I came across several journals that are really wonderful — and locked. Maybe some day… I admit that some of these don’t update as often as I would like, but they are interesting when they do. Sometimes people just get caught up in other things and give up writing; about half of my old Diaryland favorites haven’t updated in months. I miss them because I derive joy from watching other people do what I no longer can.
And as usual, I enjoyed the coding. Simple pleasures…
Another small pleasure to cherish: yesterday was so nice that I attempted — and actually managed — to drive to Costco, the farthest I have done since I began driving again. Accomplishing more than the bare minimum is always hopeful. Ahem.
